On 6 & 7 June 2024 at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management

The Frankfurt Competence Center for German and Global Regulation (FCCR) and the Europa-Institut of Saarland University are organizing a joint conference on the main topics of the Commission Communication on the "Economic Security Strategy" of 20 June 2023. The event takes place on 6 and 7 June 2024 at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. 

Distinguished speakers in four panels (Risk Analysis, Promoting, Protecting & Partnering) will discuss how the topic of economic security is changing risk analysis (Risk Analysis), what opportunities and obstacles exist in promoting competitiveness (Promoting), which dimensions of protection should be considered for the benefit of the EU economy and how these are compatible with existing economic relations (Protecting). Obstacles to promoting competitiveness (Promoting), which dimensions of protection should be considered for the benefit of the EU economy and how these are compatible with existing economic relations (Protecting), and what closer cooperation between the EU and Japan can or should look like in terms of strategic autonomy and economic security (Partnering).
