75 years Europa-Institut & 30 years EVER - Let's celebrate!
The Europa-Institut celebrates 75 years full of research, tradition, innovation, and a global network of partners, alumni, and researchers that reaches far beyond Europe. Our alumni association EVER marks its 30th anniversary, impressively demonstrating how vibrant and far‑reaching this international alumni network remains until today. We look forward to a year full of highlights – from a conference in Berlin to a Steel Summit in Saarbrücken and a grand celebration at the Bel Etage Saarbrücken. Join us in celebrating 75 years of the Europa-Institut and 30 years of EVER e.V.!

20 June 2026 – we look forward to celebrating with you!
In the early afternoon of 20 June, we will organise a get‑together at the Europa-Institut. Directors Prof. Dr. Marc Bungenberg and Prof. Dr. Till Patrik Holterhus will provide insights into current developments at the Institute, and you will have the opportunity to do a tour of the Europa-Institut. The EVER e.V. General Assembly will also be held that day (for members only), and we will once again offer the traditional soccer match on campus. There will be enough time to rest before the evening celebration at the Bel Étage begins.
Evening celebration at the Bel Étage
The evening will start at 7:00 p.m. with a reception offering the opportunity to reconnect with each other. We will have some words of greeting and a keynote address and then transition into a more informal gathering with a barbecue buffet, including vegan and vegetarian options. There will be a DJ and music and we look very much forward to celebrating this special occasion together.
Registration and tickets
Registration and ticket purchase for the anniversary celebration on the evening of 20 June 2026 will be possible starting the week after next. You will receive a separate email with all details. Ticket prices will be €75 for a seated dinner table and €50 for a standing table. Both options include a welcome drink and dinner.
Hotel reservations
We kindly recommend booking your hotel room as soon as possible, as many hotels are already heavily booked. We have reserved room contingents at several hotels in Saarbrücken –Victor's Residenz Hotel Saarbrücken am Deutsch-Französischen Garten, Hotel Am Triller, Hotel Madeleine, Victor's Best Western Rodenhof and Saar City - Keyword: Europa-Institut.. It may also be worthwhile to check hotel booking platforms, as additional rooms may still be available. Since some of our contingents expire as early as late March or early April, we advise booking promptly.
