The Europa-Institut regularly takes part in internationally renowned Moot Courts and thus offers its students the opportunity to apply previously learned strategies not only theoretically but also practically in simulated court hearings.
The Moot Court of the Court of the European Union takes place at the original site of the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot takes place in Vienna, the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot, short FDI, in different places all over the globe.
In cooperation with a consortium of American and European universities, the Europa-Institut organises an annual simulation of European decision-making processes: EuroSim.
The course is held in English and offers students an excellent opportunity to test their acquired knowledge and skills in practice. EuroSim takes place every year alternately at universities in Europe and the USA.
Since the academic year 2019/2020, a new cooperation has been established between the Europa-Institut of Saarland University and Regent's University in London. The renowned private university, located in London's Regent's Park, offers its students from currently around 130 countries a wide range of courses in Business & Management, Liberal Arts & Humanities and Film & Media.
The cooperation between the Europa-Institut and Regent's University with a focus on International Relations enables students from both institutions to broaden their knowledge, expand their networks and gain valuable and practical experience for their professional future.
