Cristian Oro Martinez is a lawyer at the Research and Documentation Directorate at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. Before that, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law and he also worked as lecturer and researcher for 10 years at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, in the field of private international law.
Cristian Oro Martinez holds a law degree (with extraordinary prize) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain) and a Ph.D. (cum laude, Doctor Europaeus Mention) from the same University, for a dissertation on the Private International Law aspects of private enforcement of Competition Law. He also holds an LL.M. (cum laude) in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham Law School (New York). His main areas of research are European procedural law and Spanish and EU private international law.
