Jan Jeram

Jan is a member of the Competition team of the firm's Brussels office, where he focusses on the practice of EU law. He represents clients before the European Commission in merger control reviews and advises in cartel and abuse of dominance proceedings.

Jan has particular experience in in-depth merger reviews before the European Commission. He also regularly advises private equity houses on a broad range of antitrust questions related to acquisitions and divestments of portfolio companies. He has overseen and managed merger notification processes in many jurisdictions around the world and has experience across a broad range of industries, including oil & gas, transport, tech, chemicals, and medical devices.

Jan has conducted mock dawn raids for a major international company and regularly advises on questions of EU competition compliance. He also advises companies on EU regulatory law.

Jan has provided advice to Médecins Sans Frontieres, Child Rights International Network, Public International Policy Law & Policy Group, and other pro bono clients. He has also provided input to the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) in preparing an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court and has been involved in writing amicus briefs at the post-conviction stage of a death penalty case before the South Carolina courts.
