Living in Saarbrücken
There are several low-cost accommodation options for the time of your stay in Germany. You can either rent a room or apartment in Student Accommodation (please note you will have to be quick to secure accommodation here!), search for a room in Shared Student Accommodation, or Rent Your Own Apartment.
Please remember to inspect the premises before you move in, and to take a formal note of any potential damage or shortcomings, wherever possible in presence of the landlord. Also consider that you are likely to have to give notice to terminate your rent contract well before leaving Germany - the period of notice is usually three months.
More tips available here.
We recommend renting a room in student accommodation, as this is usually the easiest option. Whatever you choose to do, make sure that accommodation is one of the first things you sort out!
